Together with the state of Berlin, BerlinOnline operates Berlin.de, the official website of Germany’s capital city. As a web service provider, we focus on complex online applications and e-government solutions that benefit the citizens of our city on behalf of the state of Berlin. Our editorial team presents Berlin as an exciting, livable and international metropolis on Berlin.de, the first online address for Berliners and visitors looking for information and services.

With the municipalization of the company in 2021, BerlinOnline offers the opportunity to work in a growing team on exciting digital products for the German capital city.

We are looking for motivated new members for our DevOps team who want to work with us on our long-running operational and development projects and help establish a new PMO.

What you will do

  • Take over the management of ongoing projects in hybrid teams, such as
    • the Appointment and Time Management System (ZMS) with over 1,000,000 appointments annually
    • the service portal of the Berlin administration with over 800 services offered at over 700 locations
    • the content management system of the state of Berlin with more than 2,500 editors
  • Supervise new projects from the beginning
  • Be the contact person for developers, clients and service providers
  • Be part of the Project Management, Support & Quality Assurance team and contribute with your expertise in the creation of a new Project Management Office

Your profile

  • Project management experience in the environment of software development, ideally in the public sector (ideally at least 3 years)
  • Independent, structured and goal-oriented working method
  • Excellent communication skills with customers from the public sector and with the various in-house teams (development, DevOps, support)
  • Familiarity with tools that facilitate project management (Excel, Redmine, GitLab or similar)
  • Knowledge of common project management methods and their pragmatic application
  • Very good written and spoken German skills
